This term Year 1 have been learning about Ancient Rome. Today we celebrated our learning journey by dressing up as either a Gladiator, God/Goddess or Ancient Roman citizen and we participated in a variety of fun activities. Our day began with creating our very own amphorae out of air dried clay. We played a number of board games such as Rota, Tali and Tessere and Ludus Calculorum. We also worked hard at preparing to be a Gladiator through a fun but challenging obstacle course! Lucky we had a Pizza Break mid session!! Our final activity was learning the ancient art style of Mosaics. Thank you to all our staff (teachers and Office) who helped us have such a great day of learning in a different way.

Our Year 1 students had a fantastic opportunity to visit our Year 5 and Year 6 classes this week! 🤩 First, they admired the amazing beach artworks created by our Year 6 students. 🎨🏖️ These beautiful pieces inspired our Year 1 students to write their own imaginative stories and descriptions about the beach. They were so excited to see the artworks and used them to spark their own creative ideas! ✨ They also enjoyed watching Year 5's performances of The Conversion of Saul to Paul. The performances helped our Year 1 students develop a deeper understanding of the story and its important message. A huge congratulations to our Year 5 students for all the hard work, practice, and confidence they showed in bringing this story to life! 👏🌟 It was wonderful to see our students learning from one another and celebrating creativity, faith, and collaboration. 💙
